Julian Haart's 1,000L is sourced from 25-year-old vines in the Grand Cru Goldtröpfchen vineyard, so called because it is a wine that was, originally, a chosen Fuder – a 1,000L barrel. The importer purchsed the entire barrel, and each vintage, he continues to do so. The is a dry-tasting Riesling that is incredibly brisk, tense and refreshing with oodles of high-toned citrus fruits and stark minerality.
