What a pretty Pinot Noir from a name better known for Gamay. From 30 year-old Pinot vines inter-planted among Jean-Paul Brun's Gamay in southern Beaujolais, made and aged in concrete with minimal sulfur. It's fresh and full of Bing and griotte cherry fruit with a subtle earthy note that grows with air. Four weeks on the skins gives a nice layer of supporting tannin, making your mouth water and sustaining the fresh fruit and earth flavors.
