Chardonnay generally prefers a cool climate and a long growing season. The temperature in Edna Valley rarely exceeds 75 degrees and is about 3 miles from the ocean, perfect for these grapes. The Chardonnay was hand-harvested and the whole cluster pressed. It was then transferred to French oak where it fermented and aged for 10 months. This wine is bright and fresh with lots of citrus and tropical fruit notes and finishes with a nice touch of vanilla and toast.
