The Bertrand Stehelin Cotes du Rhone Village Sablet is a blend of 70% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre and 5% Syrah, from different plots located around the village of Sablet on sandy loam and clay soils. The Grenache vines are 40 to 60 years old, and the Syrah Mourvedre are between 25 to 30 years. This shows lots of steeped plum, roasted fig and warm raspberry torte flavors laced with dark cocoa, espresso bean and licorice root notes.
